It tells the story of the kind and beautiful Rhodopis, who is taken from her home in Greece to be a slave in Egypt. Along the way, she befriends the storyteller Aesop and many animals. She has no way of knowing that a twist of fate and a little intervention from Horus the Falcon God will lead her to the Pharoah!

Written by Carnegie-award winning author Beverley Naidoo and illustrated by Iranian illustrator Marjan Vafaeian, Cinderella of the Nile  is the first in our One Story Many Voices series, which celebrates beloved stories that have been shared across countries and cultures for generations.
