Are you passionate about children’s books? Do you have strong writing skills and a knack for social media? If so, you could join the Tiny Owl team as a freelance supporting us with publicity as well as marketing!
We’re looking for someone to support our Publicity and Marketing Director on a freelance basis, starting from Monday 19th April. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, creative thinking, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
This role will suit someone who is a team player, imaginative, and enthusiastic. You’ll be IT literate, show meticulous attention to detail, and be able to prioritise and meet deadlines. A strong understanding of WordPress, and social media platforms, particularly Twitter and Instagram, is essential. Experience of creating content through graphic design platforms such as Canva would be desirable. Good knowledge of the children’s book market is useful but not necessary.
Hours may vary from week to week, but we can offer a minimum of 15 hours a week, with the possibility of increased hours. The hourly rate would be based on skills and experience. This role will primarily involve remote working, with the possibility of working from our office when it is safe to do so.

We are a small and close-knit team based in Chiswick, London, publishing picture books for children. We started our company in response to the lack of diversity in children’s literature, and since launching in 2015 have published over 30 books which showcase and appreciate diverse literary and artistic heritages. As a freelancer, your role would be based in publicity and marketing.
