Just like the kind elephant who shares her umbrella, we’re sharing the love with our beautiful new paperback edition of The Elephant’s Umbrella.
The kind elephants loves to share her umbrella. Nothing makes them happier than huddling under it with her friends and keeping out of the rain. But one day, when a strong wind picks the umbrella up and carries it away, the bear and the leopard get the chance to use the umbrella. One thing is for sure, they don’t want to share it. They would prefer to use for themselves. Will the selfless elephant ever be reunited with her umbrella?
The Elephant’s Umbrella, written by Laleh Jaffari and illustrated by Ali Khodai, is the perfect book to talk to children about the importance of sharing. It was also nominated, alongside A Bottle of Happiness, for the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal. Illustrated with beautiful rich illustrations, and with a simple text, this book can be used as a wonderful bedtime story, allowing children to read aloud or listen carefully.
