QUILL SOUP by Alan Durant and Dale Blankenaar // This beautiful take on a folk tale is a retelling packed full to the brim of bright illustrations that burst from each page. Noko the porcupine is hungry but when the other animals refuse to help, Noko sets out to make a soup unlike any other. This African telling of the traditional Stone Soup story is beautifully designed and could support conversations about sharing what’s ours for the benefit of others. A lovely one to discuss sharing in these early stages of September when school starters are beginning their journey in relating to others.
