Greenwich Book Festival celebrates all the wonderful journeys of discovery we embark upon when we read. Held at the Old Naval College at Greenwich, it’s a place where you can both meet authors and illustrators you already admire, and also discover new emerging voices – in an environment that includes everyone.

It includes tours, workshops and speaker events over two days, and on 27 May Tiny Owl will be attending!

From 3pm – 4pm you can experience the ancient Persian storytelling practice of pardekhani. Complete with a beautiful illustrated canvas, our very own storyteller Alia Alzougbi will retell two of the fables of Rumi, the 13th-century Persian poet, scholar and Sufi mystic. The Parrot and the Merchant is a fable of true love and freedom, and The Jackal Who Thought He Was a Peacock explores the importance of being happy with your own identity. Join Alia Alzougbi for an exciting, interactive storytelling experience.

Then from 4.30 – 5.30pm join Pippa Goodhart, author of A Bottle of Happiness, for a storytelling and arts & crafts session. What would you put in your own bottle of happiness? In this workshop you can write down some of the things that give you joy, put them in your very own bottle and take it home.
