Sita Brahmachari

We were so lucky to have our friend, author Sita Brahmachari drop in for a visit! We took the opportunity for a quick interview. Sita shared some fascinating insights into the world of children’s books – watch the video to find out what she said!

Sita is a children’s book author and winner of The Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. She’s also an ambassador for Amnesty International. Tiny Owl are lucky enough to be working with Sita on an upcoming project! Stay tuned for more news! We talked to her about her new book ‘Corey’s Rock’, her work with Amnesty, and the issue of diversity in children’s books!

We asked Sita what she thinks of Tiny Owl. She said “I absolutely love Tiny Owl books. There is a great need for us to be offering books for children which look at the world from all sorts of different perspectives.”

On the topic of diversity, she said “It’s really important for children both to see themselves reflected in the stories that they read, but also for stories to offer them really wide, wide windows onto the world.”
