Pre-order Grobblechops
Happy Halloween! We’ve been giving hints about our upcoming book on Twitter, revealing the cover one section at a time…
And here it is!
Amir’s worried about the monster under the bed! What if it has huge teeth and growls like a lion? What if it tries to eat him up? And what if the monster has a mum and dad too? But Dad reassures Amir that if the monster family comes to play, then Amir might just make a friend instead.

Grobblechops is written by award-winning children’s author Elizabeth Laird and illustrated by the wonderful Finnish artist Jenny Lucander. It’s a timeless tale of a monster under the bed with a twist, that will appeal to fans of books like Mr Underbed by Chris Riddell. The original and quirky illustrations perfect complement this humorous story.

The story based on a story from Masnavi, one of the best-known and most influential works by the thirteenth-century poet, philosopher and Sufi mystic, Rumi. Our series Tales by Rumi re-interprets Rumi’s stories as fun but thoughtful picture books for children. The previous titles in the series are The Jackal Who Thought He Was a Peacock, The Parrot and the Merchant, and The Lion Tattoo.
Grobblechops will be published on 1st February 2019! Stay tuned to find out more about this amazing book!
