One of our #booksb4bedtime was #fairshares by @pippagoodhart and @annadohertyillustration Hare finds a tree full of pears but unfortunately, he can’t reach them! Along comes bear who thinks she can definitely reach them but she also can’t reach them. Hare comes up with the idea that they can both use a chair but soon realises that while bear could they couldn’t so. It takes a little beetle to point out that Hare should in fact have two chairs and then it would be fair. Then they are able to both feast on pears and even offer the beetle some pear but it transpires he likes chairs loved this part of the book too and it made both the kids' giggle! It is a lovely book with a great message about equality, as the two characters learn that having the exact same thing isn't always fair; It's perfect for teaching children about the concept of fairness and sharing in a fun way.
