This year we were busy with Nahid Kazemi’s events in Edinburgh International Book Festival. She read her book The Orange House to children and led two fun workshops for them.

In the first workshop children learnt to look around and find materials to make beautiful illustrations. Inspired by The Orange House, they illustrated their own houses and buildings with fabric, papers, and dried flowers.

The second workshop was a group activity, where all of the children drew their buildings on a huge paper and made a city!

We are very happy with our events at EIBF 2016, and yet we regret that Marjan Vafaian couldn’t make it to the festival.

Nahid Kazemi is the illustrator of Alive Again and author/illustrator of The Orange House.
