There’s Room for Everyone is an appeal for peace

We’re delighted that our #FlyWithTinyOwl series has caught the eye of the BookTrust team in Cheshire, part of CWAC Libraries! Read what they had to say about There’s Room for Everyone by Anahita Teymorian below.

Part of Tiny Owl’s Hope in a Scary World series, There’s Room for Everyone, by Anahita Teymorian, is an appeal for peace. A book about kindness, acceptance and equality that allows a child’s voice to question War and the Refugee Crisis: ‘if we are kinder and if we love each other then in this beautiful world there’s room for everyone.’

There’s Room for Everyone is an example of picture book at their best; not only do children get to enjoy a gorgeous story and beautiful art work, but the book helps them to empathise and identify with other, to understand the world around them with compassion, it gives them structure and context to voice their own thoughts and concerns. This story could also be used to talk about anxiety, especially around new people and places and the importance of tolerance and kindness.

Tiny Owl have released a brilliant reading of the story delivered in British Sign Language. Find at #FlyWithTinyOwl or why not visit your local library and borrow a copy here?

Talk to your child about the story, what do they think it is about? Tiny Owl has a great resource to accompany the story, including activities on kindness and the home here
