Dotty Chocolate Tray Bake

Turn your oven to 180C or gas mark 4.

Line a small baking tin (about 25cm by 35cm) with baking paper.

Ingredients:

4 eggs

225g caster sugar

225g soft margarine

275g self-raising flour

2 tbsp cocoa

Put the eggs, sugar, margarine, cocoa and flour into a bowl and beat them to make a light and even mixture.

Pour the mixture into the lined tin. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until it is risen, and a skewer poked into it comes out clean.

Remove the tin, cool, and take cake out of the paper.

Fudgy Icing

40g margarine

40g cocoa, sieved

350g icing sugar, sieved

Melt the margarine in a saucepan. Add the cocoa and stir over a gentle heat for a minute. Take off the heat. Stir in the icing sugar and as much milk as is needed to make a smooth spreading consistency.
