I picked this up from the reflecting realities bookshelf in the library, and I found it to be a great traditional story about children being afraid of the dark/not wanting to go to bed. It is such a relatable book for everyone, especially children and it makes the children empathise with Amir. The colourful illustrations enhance the chaos in the story, whilst also providing a settling end with Grobblechops next to Amir in bed. Grobblechops could also be used as a theme in KS1 English lessons and his character could be explored in further detail, leading to some character description.
