All About Derby Book Fest!
Did you know that Human Town recently won the Derby’s Children’s Picture Book Award 2023?! To celebrate, author Alan Durant and illustrator Anna Doherty held a few sessions with schools to chat about the book and conduct some fabulous activities!
With a read along, draw along of little Junior the elephant and a Q & A, these sessions sound like such fun!

‘Our children listened intently to Alan talking about his inspiration behind the book. They came up with a lot of questions for Anna and Alan and loved hearing the answers! We really enjoyed learning how to draw the elephants. It really brought the book alive for the children and it has made them so inquisitive with other books that we have read since!’
