This week on Twit Twoo, we’re looking at our fantastic Rumi Tales event at the Ismaili Centre in London, with author Elizabeth Laird.
We had an amazing time enjoying spellbinding Rumi Tales with author Elizabeth Laird at the Ismaili Centre!
The children enjoyed a reading of our latest Rumi tale, the monster under the bed story Grobblechops.
Elizabeth brought along teddy, one of the characters in the book, who chatted to the children and answered their questions. It was great to hear from such a skilled storyteller.
She also read the other books in Tiny Owl’s Rumi series and talked about their beautiful messages: The Jackal Who Thought He Was a Peacock and The Parrot and the Merchant.
Then we had some fun activities! The children were so excited to take part. They were shown different illustrations from the book and identified how Amir is feeling in each one, and talked about and performed how they would act on those feelings. They also had fun drawing their own monsters and thought up funny names for them.
Afterwards, she signed copies of Grobblechops for her fans of all ages.
Thank you to everyone who came to this lovely event! Thank you Ismaili Centre and Thank you Liz!
